Waiting on a book?

If you’ve ordered a book recently and it’s not turned up yet—don’t panic (and please don’t blame the dog).


Here are a few things to check before declaring it lost to the cosmos:


1. Was your address spot on?

You’d be surprised how many typos sneak into addresses (about 1 in 10 orders have something mis-spelt or with a wrong number or post code).


2. Did you confirm your email when you ordered?

That confirmation is what allows updates (and tracking info) to reach you. If you’re not sure, you can check your account—steps are at the bottom of this post.


3. Remember, each book is printed to order.

I use a small, independent UK printer—not a warehouse full of bots. Printing takes 5–10 working days (yep, that’s business days—not weekends). It’s written on the book page, but it’s easy to miss. So do a quick count from your order date and see where you’re at.


4. Once printed, your book is packed and handed over to the delivery folk—usually Yodel or DPD.

At this point, you should get a tracking email (assuming you confirmed your email—see point 2 and try not to smirk).


5. Track it your way.

With the tracking code, you can check the delivery status on the courier’s app or website—and even get phone notifications when it’s just around the corner.


6. Still nothing after 10 working days?

Just drop me a message with your order number and I’ll chase it up with the printer.




How to Check Your Account


  1. Head over to https://taichi-store.com
  2. Click Log In / Account (top right of the site)
  3. Enter your email and password


If you haven’t set up a password yet but did place an order, just click “Create Account” or “Forgot Password” using the same email you used at checkout. Shopify will magically link your past orders to that email.
