Over the summer and autumn of 2025, the Teapot Dojo will begin moving to a new home—this very site you’re browsing now.
The move won’t be rushed. It will unfold slowly, carefully, and with intention—bringing together existing courses, new material, and a refreshed, more interactive experience.
Why the Change?
At the start of 2025, life changed in ways I could never have anticipated.
In March, I lost my wife, partner, and collaborator.
Together, we ran the company that held much of this work. With her passing, some things had to change—legally, ethically, and personally. This meant gently winding down that company, closing bank accounts and contracts, and letting go of older platforms that are no longer suitable.
A Fresh Start
The original teaching platform had become cluttered—extra fees, lost features, branded pages, and shifting policies. It no longer supported the kind of experience I want to offer you.
So I’ve begun building a cleaner, more spacious home for the dojo.
Here, you’ll find:
- A more stable and flexible site
- Course videos hosted via Vimeo, with captions and transcripts
- Optional downloads for smaller courses (still to be implemented)
- The return of live sessions (with recaps hosted on Youtube - from September)
- New community spaces (tea house and posts - starting autumn)
- Simplified access to everything in one place
- ebooks hosted here on this platform (paperbacks still on book site)
If You’re Already Learning
If you’re already enrolled in a course or membership on the old platform—don’t worry.
Keep learning as you are.
Make sure you’re on my email list.
Later this summer, I’ll send clear instructions on how to access your content here, with no disruption.
If You’re About to Enrol or Renew
Drop me a message before signing up. I’ll guide you through how to do it on the new site, while keeping access to both platforms during this in-between phase.
Pricing
Membership prices will stay the same as they’ve been since 2017—until at least 2026.
Some courses may see small price changes by the end of the year to cover the new hosting and support costs, but most things will stay just as they are.
Thank You
Thanks for your patience—and for being part of this journey.
It’s been a year of deep change. I’m grateful for the support and kindness of this community.
